Doing so enables you to set the defaults including whether you’d like new uploads to be available via RSS as default, that being to be on Spotify in this case as default. You can update your RSS Feed settings at any time whether that’s before or after you’ve uploaded tracks. Once you’re on your profile page where for example mine is /stokedinfluence you can then click Edit. To do this you can click on your avatar of which would be replaced by your uploaded logo and then click Profile. You can provide your name and a description. Now that you’re logged into your Soundcloud Profile, it’s time to make it yours and to brand it. If you have a Facebook or Google account then you can continue with one of those. Not only can you have a playlist, but you can a folder filled with playlists. With Spotify, managing your liked tracks and playlists couldn’t be easier. Spotify provides an incredibly intuitive user interface and superb recommendations. Why Spotify? Spotify has too been evolving for a number of years, and of what started out as a basic web and desktop app soon became available on your phone and your smart speakers. Soundcloud provides a platform for all artists and you can find the music that matches your taste. Why Soundcloud? Soundcloud has been growing for years but Soundcloud also makes it possible for undiscovered artists, well to become discovered. Finally once you’re upload is completed, you can get to promoting it and use the likes of Hootsuite to share to all of your social media channels. Of course you’ll need to set this up and that I’ll go through in this guide. Spotify will pick up the changes thanks to the use of an RSS feed provided by Soundcloud. Whilst certainly there is time in the recording and editing, once done you can upload to Soundcloud, provide a graphic, description, tags, and whatever else and then you’re done. With thanks to Soundcloud and Spotify, creating a podcast, better distributing a podcast couldn’t be easier. There are so many podcasts available on so many platforms but here I’m focusing on Spotify and Soundcloud because I believe they are both excellent. Needless to say, but ensure that you’re within the law and not presenting yourself or others to danger whilst listening to a podcast. A podcast makes a great background noise and you don’t have to be completely present with it because chances are if a podcast is good, the content where important will be present and standout. You can listen to a podcast on the way to work, doing the cleaning, or cooking. Podcasts provide a great way of accessing information without having to be solely focused on the listening.
